MARY ANNE WLADYKA

Mary passed away peacefully on July 20, 2020 at Riverview Health Centre, with her brother Jack by her side, after a year-long battle with cancer.
Mary was born on December 9, 1946.
Mary was very proud to be a highly respected member in her profession as a CPA for over 50 years.
Mary was very active in serving her community. Mary volunteered on many boards, offering her time and expertise freely.
Mary had many talents including reading, sewing, embroidery and gardening, taking great pride in her yard which was featured in a number of magazines and calendars.
Mary was a huge animal lover, especially for all of her special puppies over the years, Travis, Mozart, Harley, Ellie and Brady.
Mary was a huge supporter of both local and national charities.
Thank you to all the health care professionals who cared for Mary throughout the past year at various organizations, including Health Sciences Centre, Women's Hospital, CancerCare and Riverview Health Centre.
Although Mary was a very quiet and private person, she regretted that COVID-19 prevented her from personally thanking all of the extended family, associates, clients and friends for being such an important part of her life.
If you would like to make a donation in memory of Mary, please donate to Manitoba CancerCare or Before the Bridge Senior K9 Rescue.

God Bless, be safe and continue
to care for one another.

  • “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I hope I don’t have a bit of talent left. I want to be able to say, Lord, I used everything you gave me.” Author unknown Mary Wladyka is someone that truly lived her life graciously sharing all her talents with the community. On July 20, 2020, Mary passed away peacefully after a year-long battle with cancer. Her legacy lives on because she cared about making a difference. Mary’s commitment to the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate over the years was demonstrated through her gift of time, resources and financial generosity. She willingly stepped up and gave many hours to help create and serve as one of the first Directors of the Board for the Lubov SSMI Foundation. Her contributions to establish the financial management of the Foundation is one of many legacies that she will be remembered for. Prior to the Foundation Board, Mary served on the Board for Holy Family Home. Mary took great pride in sharing about how her gardens were progressing. When it came to sharing her gardening talent, Mary would always ensure that the Sisters enjoyed the tasty benefits of her harvest. We are grateful for the gift Mary was to so many. She is missed, but her legacy lives on especially her vision to help create a Foundation for the Sisters so that their ministries will always be supported. May her memory be eternal! - Posted by: Lubov SSMI Foundation Inc. (Board Member) on: Sep 04, 2020

  • We are so saddened to hear that Mary lost her battle. Mary was my mother's accountant and became ours as well. She provided us with so much assistance over the years, particularly after we lost both our mothers. Mary was instrumental in the settling of the estates, and her professionalism, expertise, knowledge and hard work will be impossible to replace. What started as a professional relationship, became friendship over the years. I am sure most of her clients would say the same thing. She will be missed. Our condolences to Jack and Susanne. - Posted by: Janet & Randy Stefanyk (client and friend) on: Sep 03, 2020

  • Dear Jack, We just heard about Mary's passing and in looking up her obituary I found your mom's as well so you really got a double blow. Please accept our sincere condolences. It's been three years since we moved to SK so hadn't been in touch but think of both of you often. • My deepest condolences to Mary's family. Mary was at first a client of mine, then I became a client of hers. I also introduced Mary to my dear father, as he was in need of an accountant. Mary was a perfectionist, and extremely competent at her profession. Once again, may God be With Her. Vichnaya Pamyat. Helen S. - Posted by: Helen Stockburn (A client) on: Sep 03, 2020

  • We were so very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. We knew Mary since 2007 and for many years Mary trusted us to help her transform different areas of her yard. It was always great talking with her in the yard that she was so passionate about, from gardening, to shrubs and perennials, Mary really knew her stuff. We will miss you Mary. - Posted by: Kris Chroniak & Ryan Yakubicka (Work / Friend) on: Sep 02, 2020
