On Monday, August 24, 2020, Kathleen passed away peacefully at 90 years of age at Lions Personal Care Centre.
Kay was born in Winnipeg on March 13, 1930 and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1949. Kay was a member of the Arlington congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Special thanks to Kay's many visitors at Lions over the last few years and a very special thanks to the staff at Lions Personal Care Centre (third floor) who lovingly looked after Kay.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held via Zoom on Saturday, September 5, 2:00 pm with Tony Markham officiating.

We have been fortunate to know the Kempa family for many, many years. We were in their home often, and a part of the spiritual family. You could always count on a smile and hug from Kay. She was one of the most encouraging people we knew. My girlfriend and roommate, Joan and were at Sister Kempa's home for the bookstudy and service arrangements. We enjoyed the loving environment. We never left before we had a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of whatever she had on hand freshly baked. She took Joan and I under her wing, sending vegetables home picked from her garden regularly. Spiritually she had a tremendous impact on our continuing to rely on Jehovah for every decision. She was so special to us. Our deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved her.
