JOYCE KOKORSCH
October 18, 1929 – August 30, 2020

Surrounded by family, we announce the passing of Joyce, beloved wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma.
Joyce is survived by her sister Audrey (Martin); sister-in-law Alma; great- grandchildren, Lili, Carson and Marielle; grandchildren, Diane (Craig), Sarah (Tim), Mich; daughter-in-law/daughter Dale; children, Maggie (Greg), Shelora (Bill), Josie (Reid), John (Sherril) and many wonderful friends.
Ivy Joyce Walker was born in Margate, England and in her young years went by the name Johnny. She served in the British Land Army and met her husband, Emil in England in 1945. They immigrated with their family in 1955, settling in Winnipeg.
Joyce was extremely smart and talented and learned to sew, knit and crochet, making clothes for her family, other families, herself, and a few beautiful wedding gowns. She was an excellent cook and loved to garden. She learned to speak German and was a force to be reckoned with at trivia or jeopardy. Joyce could whip off the daily crossword before most people were out of bed in the morning. Joyce had a love of classical music and opera and was a gifted artist.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Emil; parents; brothers, Tom and Robert and Miss Kitty.
A memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice or plant a tree in her memory.
Joyce will live on in our memories and through her beautiful art. She often ended her conversations with "And That's All The News That's Fit To Print."
