Condolences & Memories (2 entries)
We enjoyed the visits that the Karl family made annually to Saskatchewan. Time and distance has prevented our families from seeing each other for the last few years, but we have many memories to hold on to. Rest in peace Auntie Irene. Hugs to Richard, Debbie, Gordon and families. - Posted by: Doug and Karen Sarabin (Neice) on: Sep 06, 2020
To: The family of Irene Karl; In 1962, I was an assistant manager of an A&W Drive-In restaurant on Portage Avenue, across from Polo Park. At the time, Irene was our head cook, usually working an evening shift. One of my duties, if female staff was asked to work beyond midnight, was to safely drive her home...(I have forgotten where, but in the "North End", I believe). Irene and I would spend a half hour, just talking about life in general. She was a good conversationalist and a good listener. I needed her motherly advice...I was but 20 years of age. God Bless, Irene. Myron Masnyk, Mississauga, ON - Posted by: Myron Masnyk (Friend) on: Sep 05, 2020
