MARK GUIBOCHE

With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Mark Guiboche, on August 30, 2020, aged 66.
All who knew him will lovingly remember him. His sons, Curtis (Nicole) and Neil, grandkids, Josée and Benoit. His mother Harriet, brothers, Joe, Allan, Donald, David and Stephen. Sister-in-law Kim (Vince) with whom he was particularly close to. He had a large, extended work family retiring from RW Packaging after 40+ years.
He rejoins his loving wife Kathy, father Roger, brothers, Ernest and Norman.
He recently was known for attending bike races with Curtis, Joe and Benoit, and during the COVID era, he was a fixture outside with all the scooter kids on the ramps he and Curtis had built. He had taken up riding his bike. The Forks was a special place for Mark.
Marko grew up in Whitemouth, MB, and spent much time in the Whiteshell Provincial Park, especially around the Nutimik Lake. He raised his family in Winnipeg, on McDermot Avenue. Mark was always willing to help anyone in need, there are countless stories that involve him coming to the rescue.
In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or 2 Wheel Revolution for Mountain Bike trail building and maintenance would be appreciated.
A private service will be held through Klassen Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Whitemouth at a later date.

  • I was searching obits and stumbled upon Mark's. I didn't expect to see this. We attended the same school and church in Whitemouth and I remember Mark for his kind and gentle nature. I offer my sincere condolences to Mark's family and friends. Find peace in the happy memories. - Posted by: Deanna Zaretski (nee Petersen) (Paths crossed in Whitemouth) on: Sep 08, 2020

  • Mark Guiboche was an outstanding member of RW's family of employees. RW Packaging (now called RW Consumer Products) is a company that competes daily for its business in the open market. Competing in the open market is never easy and succeeds only with special people. Mark was one of those special people. He showed respect for the business, loyalty to the company, and always worked with the best interests of RW in mind. The value of his efforts earned him the respect of his extended work family at all levels of the business. It has been just over 20 years now since I was CEO and I still remember Mark because of his character, his dedication and his work ethic. May God's blessings support the family at this time. - Posted by: David Baldner (Former President and of RW Packaging) on: Sep 05, 2020
