Evelyn was a beautiful soul, a kind, loving, caring person, always there to help everyone. She chose hair dressing as an early profession, with her artistic and creative abilities when she retired, she began making beautiful Reborn dolls. Evelyn had a great sense of humour and style and was kind-hearted, what gave her the most joy was spending time with family. She lived in many places due to being brought up as a Military brat, as well as Military spouse, her happy place was with Tim and their three dogs in the back yard which she referred to as her park. She enjoyed her park even more when her children, grandchildren and sister came for visits.
Her family wants to thank Dr. Marcus Langhans, medical professionals and support staff in Comox, BC for their compassion and superior caregiving.
A private Celebration of Life was held in Comox, BC and a gathering at Evelyn's final resting place will be held at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Winnipeg, MB.
Arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home, Courtenay, BC, 250-334-0707.

I am so sorry to hear of Evelyn's passing and my most heartfelt condolences are extended to her family and friends. I met Evelyn through her love of reborning and I have the most beautiful doll that she reborned for me. Evelyn was always so kind and a wonderful person to work with when purchasing a reborn through her! Her talent was amazing and her dolls just so realistic and beautiful and I will forever cherish my sweet baby doll! Rest in peace Evelyn. My thoughts and prayers go with your loved ones during this sad time. May God grant them comfort and healing in your beautiful memory. 🙏♥️🌹 - Posted by: Janet Buchanan (Friend) on: Sep 11, 2020

My thoughts and prayers are with all. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to know and work with Ev when her and Tim lived in Cold Lake. Ev and I became fast friends - we shared some great times working together and I always enjoyed our "supper nights out" once a month. So thankful to have had great friend and co worker. Ev was such a talented lady and will be missed by many. - Posted by: Barb (Friend) on: Sep 10, 2020

So sadden to hear of Evelyn’s passing. I met her as a young teenager when Iris & Mike settled in Wpg after Mike’ first retirement. She was always smiling and so full of life and a little bit of mischief. Thinking of Evelyn’s family at this sad time at the loss of a wife, mother and Grandmother. Special Hugs to Mike, Mark & Wendy. - Posted by: Rosemary LaRue (Cousin through marriage ) on: Sep 10, 2020
