HEIKO THIELK
1955-2020

Heiko Thielk, known to friends and family as "Ike", passed away on August 24, 2020, after battling poor health for the last few years. He was 65 years of age.
Heiko's passing was, as with many things in his life, on his own terms. He passed after being able to make peace with family and friends and reaching out to close friends. The medically assisted passing allowed an opportunity for Heiko to achieve a level of closure and grace. In life, Heiko was a larger than life character, who led with his heart.
Heiko will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Gabriele (Alan), Jorg, and Sybille (Steve), his daughters, Sarah Van Eaton and Jennifer Starr, along with his nieces and nephews, Dustin (Julie), Jaclyn (Jamie), Matthew (Lizbeth), and Meaghan (Kevin), and his great-nephews, Joshua, Jackson, Jacob and Henry. Heiko will also be fondly remembered by his friend, Villy Sana, who he spoke highly of, in addition to his extended family and dear friends.
A celebration of Heiko's life will be held at a private service.
Memorial donations in memory of Heiko can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
