EDWARD JACOB HEIN
October 3, 1941 September 3, 2020
Edward was predeceased by his loving wife Jeanette; parents, Matilda and Jacob Hein; brother Lawrence Hein and sister Eileen Stoian. Edward leaves to mourn his only child, Sandra Brand; son in-law Scott and his two very special grandchildren, Laurie and Ryan. Edward will be missed by his sisters, Linda Kravec (Amos), Gladys Hein, Violet Hein and brother Arnie Hein along with many nieces and nephews.
Edward was born October 3, 1941 in Springfield, MB. Dad lived most of his adult life in their family home in St. Boniface. Dad always loved watching Ryan play hockey and Laurie dance/baton twirl. Endless hours Dad spent in the stands cheering them on and he loved every minute. We enjoyed many Sunday dinners over at our house where we caught up on each other's lives and had many laughs. We miss those Sunday's.
Dad found his love for driving early on and had a fantastic 40 year career at Manitoulin Transport, a job he truly loved. He also loved watching horse racing at Assiniboia Downs and making a few bets while enjoying a nice cold beer or two. Dad somehow had a nickname of Fast Eddie yet was the slowest driver ever. We often laughed about that.
We would like to thank the nursing staff on the second floor of Vista Park Lodge for their kindness and compassionate care.
A private family burial will take place in the coming weeks. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made the to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba at 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
We will forever miss you Dad/Papa
Love Sandra, Scott, Laurie and Ryan

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)
Our condolences Sandra, Scott, Laurie and Ryan and to the Hein family. We remember all the get-togethers we would have with Jeannette's family and the laughter that we shared. Eddie always had a smile on his face when you would meet him. And we remember how he loved his family. That was always number one. - Posted by: Evelyn and Leo Champagne (Nephew-in-law) on: Sep 17, 2020
