WALTER SMITH COUBROUGH
August 31, 1930 – September 7, 2020

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Walter Smith Coubrough at the age of 90 years.
Walter was born in Portage la Prairie and was raised on the Coubrough Century farm until he met the love of his life Doreen Calvert. They married on October 6, 1956, and settled in Winnipeg. Walter worked at CP Rail his entire life. He retired at the age of 55 and enjoyed several trips down south with Doreen and later moved to Sandy Hook, where he took up golf later in life. He loved downhill skiing, music and dancing and could be found at dances with Doreen many nights. He was truly a family man and a hard worker, always keeping busy whether it was with housework or yard work when at home.
Walter was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Malcolm Coubrough, his sister Margaret Kitson and his daughter Dorinda Bond.
Left to cherish his memory are: his brother Don, sisters, Audrey and Diane, his wife Doreen, children, Marty (Nadine), Judy (Rob) Wendy (Rory), son-in-law Ben, grandchildren, Cary (Sharyn), Cristy (Curt), Caily (Jeff), Kayla (Josh), Trina (Josh), Joel (Fallon), Mitchell and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Teagan, Macklin, Hudson, Nixon and Paityn.
A special thank you to the staff and health care workers at Oakview Personal Care home.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no public service due to Covid-19.
Walter will be laid to rest at a private family service.

We will always miss your infectious laugh. You will be forever in our hearts.
