We had the best of neighbours when my brother Keith and I were growing up. In the late 60s or early 70s the Griffens moved in. The block enjoyed fireworks in the backlane for Victoria day or Dominion day. The dads helped each other build fences, mums had coffee together, everyone shared produce and watched out for each other. The Griffens were warm and welcoming people, and let me babysit when needed. Mrs Griffen was a blessing to many. Condolences and God's comfort, to Darian, Cathy and families. - Posted by: Laura Mitchell (nee Sutton). (Neighbour) on: Sep 26, 2020

I was introduced to Deanna back in 1992 when I started working at 880 Portage Ave. Such a sweet, quiet spoken lady who became a long lasting dear friend. My sincere condolences to her two daughters Darian and Cathy and their families. You were all in the forefront of our conversations and how proud she was of each snd everyone of you. I will miss you dear friend. Be at peace and you will always have a special place in my heart and lots of good memories that we shared. - Posted by: Sharon Panasky (Friend) on: Sep 12, 2020
