KAJ LORENTZ RASMUSSEN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kaj Lorentz Rasmussen at the age of 74.
Kaj was born on January 13, 1946 in Allerod, Denmark. He was educated in Denmark as an auto electrician and enjoyed playing soccer and handball in Lynge, Denmark, a neighbouring town. In Kaj's younger days he travelled Europe for three months with his friends and soon realized that he wanted to see more of the world. He came to Canada in 1976 where he worked in the construction industry, operating heavy equipment and later he worked in the printing industry where he operated a printing press. In Canada, this is also where he met the love of his life Gail (nee Davis, Knight). They married in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 19, 1978.
Kaj will be sadly missed by all he touched, his extended family and vast friendships.
Kaj enjoyed taking daily walks, golfing with the Knights and spending time with his many friends. He was a kind-hearted soul who always had time to help a friend. He will be forever in our hearts.
Left to cherish his memory are his family and friends in Denmark and Canada: his siblings, Birgit, Svend and Poul, nephews and nieces; stepchildren, Darren (Lucy), Todd (Bridget) and Colin (Brenda), and Kaj's eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Kaj was predeceased by his beloved wife of 29 years, Gail (nee Davis, Knight); his parents, Hans and Kirsten, and his siblings, Jorgen, Ove and Bjarne.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2020, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street (Please meet at graveside).

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
Kaj came into our lives through my Auntie Gail. He became a huge part of our family and we were all saddened to hear of his passing. Kaj was one of the kindest, most lovely gentleman you could ever meet. I do not think he ever spoke an unkind word and none were ever spoken about him. We will all miss you at the Knight family breakfasts but we take comfort knowing that you are with your dear Gail again. Rest in peace, Kaj. - Posted by: Debbie Hunter (Family) on: Sep 16, 2020
