GORDON CHARLES STEIN
October 14, 1927 - August 7, 2020

It is with sadness to announce the passing of Gordon Stein, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born in Melville, SK, then moved to Winnipeg. Worked for CN Railways and lived in Transcona raising his family with his lovely wife Dulcie Stein (predeceased May 11, 2011).
Dad is now with Mom, the love of his life.
He leaves to mourn daughter Karalee Lupachow (Stein), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the doctors at Grace Hospital for their care and kindness.
Many thanks to all the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for making Dad's last few years happy and safe. He was so contented there.
Due to current covid restrictions a memorial service will be planned in 2021.

  • I also have many childhood memories of Uncle Gordon. He somehow seemed larger than life, and was a great storyteller, especially about life on the railroad. His devotion to Auntie Dulcie was lovely to observe, especially in the later years when she was not well. Sincere condolences, Karalee, to you and your family.   • So saddened to hear of Uncle Gordon’s passing. Uncle Gordon and Aunt Dulcie were a big part of our kids’ childhood as well as my own. We were reminiscing of Christmas mornings when Uncle Gordon so patiently helped get many a toy out of packaging with his handy pocketknife. He was so good with the kids.   • I always called them Uncle Gordie & Auntie Dulcie, although I believe we were actually cousins because my Dad was Dulcies uncle. I remember them both as warm, friendly, kind people and Uncle Gordie I found to be quite funny, he always made me laugh anyway.
