PATRICIA OUELLETTE
(LENIUK)
November 30, 1958 - May 30, 2020
Patricia faced many challenges throughout her life, never complained and always had a smile. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Lansdowne, Andrew Mynarski and graduated from Sisler High School. In 1978 Patricia graduated from St. Boniface School of Nursing, working in various positions including St. Boniface Hospital, V.O.N., home care and Central Intake. Despite her health issues, Patricia had a long and successful nursing career. Her passions included her faith, family, travel, Ukrainian dancing and singing. Patricia danced with Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble for over a decade, the highlight being performing for, and meeting, Pope John Paul II in Italy in 1982. She travelled through Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Europe, U.S.A. and Canada.
"Musicians play me a fast dance.
I have my boots and I'll dance til the heels disappear, then I'll dance barefoot."

I worked very closely with Patti, I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. She was an incredible lady, I thoroughly enjoyed working with her at the VON. We enjoyed many laughs together, I will always remember her fondly. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Tara Schjerning (Coworker at VON) on: Sep 21, 2020

My deepest condolences to Patty's family. Patty brought the office to life with her vivacious humour and laughter, not to mention her incredible wit, which brightened up many a lunch break. Her kindness and empathy were a mainstay of her personality, and shone through not only with her clients, but with those around her. Goodbye Patty, you will be missed. - Posted by: Gisele Rouillard (former coworker at 2015 Portage Ave) on: Sep 21, 2020
