GRANT SOBKOWICZ
He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Sherry (Scott) Farr; nephews, Brandon and Ryan; nieces, Kristen and Kaelyn; and many friends and family. He is predeceased by his parents, Michael and Norma Sobkowicz, and his sister Charlene Sobkowicz.
Grant was born and raised in Transcona where he attended Westview Elementary, John W. Gunn and Transcona Collegiate schools. Grant enjoyed his early years spent at Toniata Lodge, where his parents owned a resort until 1974. He went on to attain his Class One drivers license to pursue his passion for truck driving. He worked for Bison Transport and Caravan Logistics, driving with his best friend Rob. Grant was an avid animal lover and enjoyed many pets over the years.
As per his wishes, Grant has been cremated and a service will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with a reception to follow.
