FOWLER: Desmond Michael Fowler (59) of Brandon Manitoba, beloved husband of Giselle, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly September 20, 2020 in Regina, Saskatchewan where he was working for his long-term employer of over 23 years, Sperry Rail Canada. Des was a Chief Operator and Ultrasonic Rail Tester monitoring the safety and reliability of the CP and CN rail lines stretching across Canada from Nova Scotia to Northern Ontario to British Columbia. Through his work Des met and touched the lives of many people and was well-known for the way he treated everyone equally with kindness and respect. Des leaves behind his beloved wife Giselle, their children Joshua and Andrew; his children Carl (Angela), Christie (her children); his grandchildren Shay Lee, and Daxon and his faithful beloved dogs Bandit and Lacey. Left to mourn are his four brothers Lynn (Liz), Ryan (Julie), Gene (Lynda), and Terence, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family spanning from Nova Scotia to British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. He was predeceased by his parents his dad Terry, his mom Beth and his brother Pat. Des also leaves behind his "Sperry Family" of 23 years including his long-time co-worker and friend Darwin Morrison. Des will be remembered for his love of family and his witty outgoing personality, mischievous sense of humor, infectious laugh and smile, as well as his kind-heartedness to everyone he met. A private graveside service will be held at the Brandon Cemetery for family and close friends of Des, on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the: Samaritan House Ministries Inc., 630 Rosser Ave., Brandon, MB, R7A OK7.

Also left to mourn his four brothers and their families: Lynn (Liz), Ryan (Julie), Gene (Lynda), and Terence. Des was predeceased by his Mom (Beth), Dad (Terry) and brother Pat.
