BRENDA LEE DONALDSON
(CHANOWSKI)
September 20, 1962 - September 21, 2020

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Brenda peacefully with her family by her side, at the age of 58.
She is survived by her husband Jim of 36 years; son Kelly (Sabrina); daughter Kerri (Patrick); grandsons, Jaxon and Flynn; as well as her mom Eileen; her brothers, Brian and Deb (Wyatt), Darren (Sarah, Linus and Mila), Kelly (Shayna and Joshua).
Brenda was predeceased by her father Edward and her daughter Amber.
Brenda enjoyed her youth at her grandparents farm in Dugald and her dad's family farm in Anola. Growing up in Transcona, she graduated from Transcona Collegiate in 1980. She continued to live and raise her family in Transcona. You could find her at Kelly and Kerri's hockey events, or at Blue Bomber and Winnipeg Jets games, as well as jamming at a rock concert. She enjoyed her family vacations to Florida and Hillside beach. She adored every moment she spent with her beautiful grandsons.
Brenda touched so many lives, including aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Brenda's first day with Pitblado's predecessor Law Firm, Buchwald Asper Henteleff was July 4, 1983 as an Administrative Assistant. Judy Payne impacted Brenda's life in many positive ways, she was more of a friend than her boss. Brenda appreciated everything Judy and the Pitblado family did for her.
Thank you to the doctors and staff at St. Boniface CancerCare and Palliative Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brenda's honour to CancerCare Manitoba.
Cremation has already taken place. A private Celebration of Life with family will be held at a later date.

  • I had privilege of sitting next to Brenda when I first started at Pitblado in 2000. She was a kind, friendly, cheerful person and I appreciated her so much. She was always willing and happy to explain whatever it was I needed help with. I recall each morning, before 8 am (because she always got to work early), her phone calls to her children to ensure all was well, that they had good breakfast and to remind them of whatever they had going on that day. Most of all, I remember the expression of love for her children as this daily event took place. I am sad for her family and all who knew and loved her, however, how blessed you were to have had her in your life. - Posted by: Deb Smyth (Co-worker) on: Sep 26, 2020

  • I am sad to hear of Brenda’s passing. Brenda was a customer of mine downtown. I spent many years doing her annual Christmas party makeup. She was always so happy, calm and caring. She was very proud of her grandsons and would show me pictures and chat about them often. My condolences to her family and friends. I will sure miss seeing her.
