Condolences & Memories (2 entries)
We are so sorry to hear that Mavis has passed away. What a loss to you and her friends, of a most vibrant, dynamic and gracious lady. Through Diane Heather and the writing of the Prairie Grove History, I was able, to connect names to pictures, in now my photo album, of 70 plus years ago. When my Grandson Tim, was working in Winnipeg, along with his fiancee Jess, on our last visit, we went out for breakfast with Mavis and picked up corn on the way home. From that album, I was able to sent Mavis copies of pictures of her beloved sister Hesel and her children, making a connection of some 4 generations. Mavis was when we visited her, as I imagine she was when she knew my mother, Elsie Wright, and was with her family and friends; generous, welcoming and delightful. She will be missed. Again, Tim, Jess and I extend to you, our deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Karen Copley - Posted by: Karen Copley (Friend) on: Oct 19, 2020
