ISABELLE LABOSSIERE
(nee ST. AMANT)
November 11, 1935 - September 29, 2020
She was predeceased by her husband, Herman; her parents, Clovis and Yvonne (nee Grégoire); brothers, Romeo, Fernand, Marc, Gilles and George; sister, Raymonde Bazinet; and many lovingly remembered brothers and sisters in-law.
Isabelle leaves behind many who loved and cherished her, including her sons, Marc (Alice) and Claude (Miranda); her grandchildren, Brianne, Maxine and Jacob; her sisters, Annette, Evelyne; and brother, Bernard (Barb). Isabelle was beloved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and surviving in-laws, Cécile, Lucille, Cora and Doris St. Amant, Pat Grant and Roland Bazinet (Basia).
Mom spent many years with kids, teaching, raising her own, teaching again, and staying on longer to see her grandkids through elementary. She also nursed Dad through his final months at home while on a leave of absence. In semi-retirement and then full retirement, Mom travelled the world, experiencing many adventures with her sister, Annette, and brother-in-law, Henry. They danced and partied around the globe, making many friends along the way. Mom was very sociable and likable, she easily made friends no matter where she travelled or lived. She spent the last decade in her "penthouse" apartment on Horace, where she had many friends, and a great view of the city and fireworks displays.
The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff of ward 6E at the St. Boniface Hospital for their gentle touch in Mom's final days. A special thank you to Cécile and her daughters, Suzanne, Danielle and Carole, for their assistance these last few years.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Isabelle may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
In keeping with Isabelle's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral mass will take place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
Arrangements entrusted to Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
Repose en paix Maman.
