FLIKWEERT: Jacoba (Coby) Flikweert. It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Coby passed away at Valleyview Care Centre on August 23, 2020 just two weeks away from her 100 th birthday. Coby was predeceased by her husband John, and son John “Johnny” in 2001. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ena (Jim) MacGregor, Mary Ann (Grant) Tarr and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Jenkins as well as 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Coby immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands with her husband John in 1950 and settled in the Minto/Carroll area before moving to Brandon in her later years. Her hobbies included knitting, needlework and cooking. Coby’s homemade soups and desserts will be fondly remembered. A Celebration of Coby’s Life will be held at a later date.
