PASHE: Eileen Marie Pashe (née Smoke) 1951 2009. Eileen, loving wife of Cecil, mother of Carl, Cheryl, Fred, Amy, Sheri, Sam, John and Brian; grandmother to Tamara, Amy, Raquel, Eric, Thomas, Matthew, Shianne, Sage, Cecil Avery, Daniel, Gabriel, Nathaniel and great-grandmother to Jessie; passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. The family would like to thank everyone, including many aunts, uncles, cousins and especially the Taylors, for their help and support at this time. The family would also like to thank 7-11 and Montanas for their support. Special thanks to Rev Jim Brown for standing by the family in our time of sorrow. Eileen loved all her relatives and friends. She enjoyed Christmas with her children and grandchildren and she enjoyed cooking for them. She loved and adored her husband and was always by his side. She fed many children who entered her humble house and stayed for a few days. She filled her home with love. She loved sewing (when she was able to see), going to Pow-Wows and visiting with relatives. She will be sorrowfully missed. Eileen was predeceased by all her grandparents, father Walter, mother Alice and sisters Marie-Jean and Yvonne. The Book of Proverbs talks about her - Proverbs 31:10 says Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Her husband found that virtuous woman. My mother was a beautiful woman in every sense of the word. She was a quiet, loving, patient woman who was loved dearly. With a heart of gold she raised her children, as well as some of her grandchildren and several foster children. She constantly went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. She shared a close bond with her family, often laughingly teasing about how most teens were embarrassed to be seen with their parents and were quick to move away, but not her children and grandchildren. She couldnt make them (us) leave her side. My mother was a wonderful woman who loved God, never cursed and never hesitated to correct us if we did. She smiled more than she frowned. She was proud of us and shared in our accomplishments. Not only did she love us with all her heart she loved her aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings. She felt protective of us all. Family meant everything to her. Now as a family, we mourn her passing with the consolation that we will see her again and know that she will never be in pain again. We love her and miss her. A traditional wake will be held at 1235 Rosser Avenue, Brandon on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. with Hector Bunn officiating. The funeral service will be held at 1235 Rosser Avenue on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Brown officiating. A graveside service will follow at Brandon Cemetery.
