AUSTRING: Anne Austring, née Vooch, in her 84th year, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 after a short illness. Born in Brandon, Manitoba; beloved wife of 66 years of Reuben Austring, formerly of Wadena, Saskatchewan, and dear mother of Donna (John McCormick), Christine (Ron Bodrug), John (Martha), David (Debbie). Grandmother to Andrew (Anna), Michael (Leslie), Brennan (Sara), Alicia (Fabian), Matthew, Sarah, Steven, Lindsay (Dan), Peter, David, Carolanne, Rebekah, and great-grandmother to Cayden, Nicholas, Noah, Garrett, Millar and Isabelle. Thank you to the staff at Shepherd Lodge, to the ICU team at North York General led by Dr. McRitchie, and to her caregiver, Helen Serneo. We are thankful for many wonderful memories, especially her love for all of us and her bountiful hospitality, and we are sorrowful but at peace. I know that my Redeemer liveth. Visitation Friday, 5-9 p.m. and funeral Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Newbigging Funeral Home, 733 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society or to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
