GODFREY: Irene Godfrey passed away at the Rideau Park Personal Care Home on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her parents Vernon & Lottie (Logan) Tufts; husband Walter; son-in-law Ron Gloor; 3 sisters: Edna (Joe) Elliott, Mildred (George) Dodds & Olive (Norman) Godfrey. Irene is survived by her son Art (Iona) of Brandon and daughter Joan Gloor of Brandon; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law: Kathy Godfrey and Joey (Joe) Lechman all of Winnipeg; brother-in-law Maurice Schneider of Grand Marais, Manitoba. A service to celebrate Irene’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 1:30 pm from the Victoria United Church, Melita, Manitoba with Jeri Bjornson officiating, interment will follow at the Napinka Cemetery. Donations may be given to the Alzheimer’s Society Unit 10 Mezzanine 120 Donald St. Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4G2 or to the Napinka Cemetery Fund Box 95 Napinka, Manitoba ROM INO.
