GARDEN: Donald Garden of Brandon, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the age of 74 years. He leaves to cherish his memory: two sisters Elizabeth Caithness and Joan Hedemark; two brothers Ken and Jim Garden; two sonsDonald Garden and Darcy Garden of Medicine Hat, Alberta; two grandsons Jamesand Justin Garden; four granddaughters Kirstin, Robyn, Madison and Ryley Garden, as well as one great grandson Easton Kelly. Donald was predeceased by his parents William Garden and Margaret Young; one brother Robert Garden and one sister Mary Belle. Donald was born on June 11, 1934 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He grew up in Arden, Manitoba and spent most of his adult life in Brandon. He was a great hockey player and was a huge fan of the Brandon Wheat Kings. He enjoyed playing pool and his guitar, and tending to his garden. He appreciated his friends helping him. The Ceremony to Celebrate Donald's Life will be held at the Arden Community Centre on Thursday, April 23, 2009; at 2:00 pm. Rev. George Cargo will officiate. A private family interment will follow in the Arden Cemetery. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, 3 - 824 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7.
