WRAY: John Wray of Melita and formally of Tilston and Brandon passed away at the Melita Health Centre, Melita, MB. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his parents Archie & Nancy (Clark) Wray; 2 sisters: Annie Cousins and Jean McCune; 5 brothers- in-law: Hughie Cousins, Bill McCune, Percy Bailey, Andy Anderson, and Norman Laing and his son Bill Wray. John is survived by his wife Mabel of Melita; two sons; Ken (Judy) of Tilston and Don (Wanda) of Tilston; daughter Sharon (Gerry) of Winnipeg; one daughter-in-law Val of Melita; 10 grandchildren: Marla (Darren) Galatiuk of Brandon, Dale (Lesley) of Russell, Jaime (Shane) Burgoyne of Brandon, Derek of Brandon, Brett (Shane) of Pierson, Tyler of Regina, Lenna of Brandon, Daniel, Caitlyn & Stephanie Brick of Winnipeg. 8 great grandchildren: brother Bob (Maxine) of Reston; 3 sisters: Esther Bailey, Kay (Gordon) Halls, Eleanor Anderson and sister-in-law Kathleen (Toots) Laing of Lillooet, BC. A service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Tilston United Church, Tilston, MB. with Mrs. Jeri Bjornson officiating, interment will follow at the Tilston cemetery.
