MOORE: The death of Thomas Lloyd Moore of Brandon occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Tom was born at Treherne, Manitoba on October 20, 1924. His early years were spent farming with his brother John until 1967. He married Erna Vennard (nee Petersen) and they moved to Assiniboia, Saskatchewan where Tom worked for a cement contracting business. They returned to Brandon in 1974, where he was employed as a yard foreman with North American Lumber. Tom's hobbies included woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening and curling. He also enjoyed watching sports on television. Surviving are: his loving wife Erna, daughter, Maxine Ingraham (Tim) and children, Tyler and Taya; daughter, Doris Calimente (Mike) and children, Scott and Curtis. He also leaves grandsons, A.J. Vennard and Jeremy Bridges. Tom is also survived by his sister Emily of Portage la Prairie and brother John (Kitty) of Treherne. There are numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by: son Alex Vennard; his parents, Ernest and Nettie Moore; sisters, Alice, Edith, Florence, Dorothy, Elsie and a brother, Bill. A private graveside service was held at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 25, 2009. Hospital Chaplain, Joe Ball officiated. Urn bearers were Taya Ingraham and Scott Calimente. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to Palliative Care, Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
