HODGSON: Edith Isabel (Watson) passed away June 21, 2009 at the Bren-Del-Win Lodge in Deloraine, Manitoba. Edith was born January 7, 1915 at Roblin, Manitoba, the second daughter of Robert Henry and Abigail Watson (Stauffer). Mom married Raymond Hodgson of Underhill, Manitoba on October 19, 1938. Mom and Dad farmed in the Dand area for several years where their sons, Maurice and Don were born. Then in 1945 the family moved to their farm in the Regent area with an addition of a daughter Flora. Mom was involved in the community in the W.I., the curling club, the hall, the school and the church. In 1954 another daughter, Sandra was born. Moms hobbies were gardening, flowers and vegetables, painting, ceramics, paper tole, and crocheting dish cloths, of which we all enjoy using. Mom was always interested in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mom is survived by her son Don (Joan), daughter Flora (Ron Westcott), Sandra (Dave Reed), and daughter-in-law Jo-Ann. Her sisters, Lyla (Bill DeLaMare), Beatrice, and Lorna. There are 13 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, Crew Baine, born a few hours before Mom passed away. Mom was predeceased by her husband Ray (2007), her son Maurice (1996), her sister Marge, her brother Harold; her brothers-in-law Ovila and Harold, and her parents. Mom will always be remembered for her genuine smile
