LESY: Angele Mary Lesy, 1911-2009. Angele Lesy passed away peacefully at Delwynda Personal Care Home, Deloraine, Manitoba on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the age of 97. Angele leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Lorraine Greasley (Dennis), son Lloyd (Sharon), nine grandchildren, Mark, Kimberly (Steve), Patrick (Sherry), Bradley (Christine), Kelly (Pierre), Daryn (Tara), Sean (Roanne), Michelle (Dean), Renee (Robert), twenty-two great- grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law Henriette (Albert) Rommelaere and many nieces and nephews. Angele was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Gilbert Eugene, her parents Henry and Sidone Huys, one sister and brother-in-law Margueritte (Trevor) Workman, father/ mother-in-law August and Elodie, two brothers/sisters-in-law Albert (Juliette), Omer (Gerarda), one sister/ brother-in-law Madelienne (Louis) Messerman and one sister-in-law Martha. Angele was born September 4, 1911 in Napinka, Manitoba. Together, Angele and Gilbert farmed in the Mountainside district. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, flowers, knitting, crocheting, sewing, ceramics and playing cards. She and Gilbert returned to Deloraine in 1963. She resided, with her husband in the Delwynda Court Personal Care Home since April 2000 and until his death March, 2008. Our family sincerely appreciate and thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Personal Care Home for the wonderful and compassionate care she received while she was a resident there. We wish to thank the family and friends who took time to visit Mom during her entire stay in the Care Home. Prayers were said 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 at St. Antoninus Catholic Church, Deloraine, Manitoba. Funeral Mass was held Friday, July 3rd, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at St. Antoninus Catholic Church. The Rev. Fr. Michael Nwosu officiating. Interment followed at the Deloraine Catholic Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home, Deloraine entrusted with arrangements.
