McDONALD: Steve Steven Douglas McDonald of Brandon, Manitoba passed away at Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon on August 31, 2009 at the age of 56 years. Steve was born in Sault St. Marie, Ontario on April 19, 1953. He grew up and attended school in and around the Ottawa area. After graduating, he worked in the computer industry in Ottawa and then made his way west, eventually settling in Vancouver, British Columbia to continue his career. He moved to Brandon in 2004 to be with his family while he fought a courageous and dignified battle with degenerative Thomas syndrome. He willbe sadly missed by his parents, Don and Doreen McDonald, four brothers: Michael (Madonna), Pat (Joanne), Rick (Sue) and Bill(Lois); two aunts; Marie MacDonald and Joan McDonald, two cousins, several nieces and a nephew as well as several great nieces and a nephew. Steve is also survived by a son, Sean Sanderson and two grandsons in Singapore. He'll also be sadly missed by LaiHa Chew and special friend Shelli. The Ceremony of Christian Burial will be held at Memories Chapel on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Rosewood Memorial Cemetery.
