ARTHUR: Ida Mildred (née Fox) June 16, 1907- October 14, 2009. Gram just went to sleep surrounded by family and caregivers at Fairview Home in Brandon, MB. Predeceased by her parents, Frank & Mable Fox. Husband Alex, six siblings and great grandson Khody Warburton, she leaves to mourn four children: Shirley Balch (David), Helen Warburton (Fred), Bryan (Diane) and Wayne (Ann), as well as 22 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Ida was born in Desford, Manitoba where she attended school and later became a piano teacher before she married Alex in 1933. She was a devoted wife and mother who worked hard to help make Gentrice Jerseys successful. Ida was also dedicated to her church and community, teaching Sunday school and quilting with the Little Souris Willing Workers and Brandon Hills Busy Bees. At home she played the organ wonderfully, crocheted afghans for every family member and made the best choke cherry jelly known to mankind. She will be greatly missed and she will always be cherished in our hearts. Our thanks to Brockie Donovan Funeral Home for the lovely service and a special thanks to Kurt Ardron.
