Reiners-von Werden, Margarete, age 65 years, died in the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Maragrete leaves to mourn her husband H.-Josef and daughter Claudia (Jeff) Beck, grandchildren: Patrick, Paulina and Peyton. Also surviving and remaining in Germany her sisters: Mechtilde Götz and Maira Müller, brothers: Peter Kohnke and Fridel Kohnke. She was predeceased by her parents. Margarete was born in Germany on April 24, 1944. On August 22, 1964 she married H.-Josef. Margarete was an accomplished Tailor and seamstress. Margarete volunteered at the Fairview Home in Brandon, Manitoba. In 1985 Margarete and H.-Josef opened the Rheinländer Restaurant in Brandon, Manitoba. In 1990 they moved to Airdrie, Alberta and purchased Margaritas Fashions. Moving back to Manitoba in 2008 and settling in Dunrea, Manitoba. Sewing and gardening were her favorite activities. She also enjoyed reading and researching. Funeral service will be held at St. Felix Catholic Church, Dunrea, Manitoba on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to be held at a later date. In memory of Margarete, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Kowalchuks Funeral Home, Souris, in care of arrangements. Expression of sympathy may be made at dkowalchuk@mts.net
