HOFER: Clara Hofer peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on October 27, 2009. She was born in Elie, Manitoba on October 30, 1930. In 1951, she married Mike Hofer and resided with him in Elie; later moving to Justice, Manitoba in 1959. She will be sadly missed by her fourteen loving children: Mike (Carol), John (Becka), Jake (Freda), Joe (Julie), Clara (Ken), Sam (Lena), Maryann (Harold), Dora (Rob), Janice (Phillip), Tim (Tara), Mark (Jemine), Calvin, Hilda, and Thelma (Rick). She will also be remembered by her grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Dallas, Jeanie, Wanda, Keri, Kendra, Jaime, Tammy, Amy, Stacey, Cody, Rena, Stephanie, Janelle, Sarah, Jade, Scott, Jasmine, Joel, Racquel, Jordan, Andrew, Luke, Jana, Seth, and two great grandchildren: Landon and Cambria. Clara is also survived by her sister Mary; brothers Jerry, Joe, Sam, and Dave; her sisters-in-law: Mary and Justina, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Mary; brothers: John, Jacob, and Mike; and also by her daughter-in-law, Sandra. In 1981, Clara along with late husband, Mike, and their family, took a courageous step of faith and moved to the farm in Chater, Manitoba where she resided until her passing. Clara will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening, sewing, reading, volunteering at Central Park & BCC, and her devotion to her children. She would spend countless hours in her sewing room coming up with innovative ideas, whether it was slippers, dog beds, oven mitts, etc. Throughout her life, Clara will always be known for her courage, determination, and strong relationship with her Heavenly Father. She prayed diligently for each and every one of her children and grandchildren daily, from youngest to oldest, in her favourite "pink chair". She was the perfect example of God's unconditional love. The family would like to thank Clara's daughter Hilda for her unconditional love, care, and time she took over the years to makethings easier for her mom. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. The Service to Celebrate Clara's Life will be held at Bethel Christian Assembly, 440 Richmond Avenue, on Friday, October 30, 2009 (today) at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Wittmeier will officiate. A private family interment will be held at the Chater Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made in memory of Clara to: The Mission to Children, P.O.
