BIRD: Darlene Bird of Brandon passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the age of 56. She was predeceased by her mother Kay (Nicholls) McMillan; gramma Emma Ried and uncle Mervin Nicholls. Darlene is survived by her son Cory (Dawn) and children Cody & Jaycee all of Fort St. John, B.C; daughter Tracy Bird (Garry Jones) and children Christopher and Abigail all of Rapid City, Manitoba; sister Shirley (Victor) Martens of Regina; nephew Derek (Rachelle) Morphy and children Elise, Claire & Tessa all of Regina; niece Andrea Morphy (Morgan Young) of Winnipeg; 2 sisters-in-law Wendy (Jim) Anderson of Tilston, MB. and Laurie (John) Cole of Gainsborough, SK; (Cory & Tracy’s father) Gene Bird of Elkhorn, MB; aunt Mae Nicholls and family of Pierson, MB; special friend of (gramma Mickey) Alex Tweed of Melita; loyal companion and best friend her dog, Kia. A service to celebrate Darlene's life will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Redpath Funeral Home, Melita, Manitoba with Reverend Jeri Bjornson officiating with private family interment to follow at the Medora Cemetery.
