GRATTON: (nee Isackson): Laura Irene Louise Gratton of Brandon, Manitoba, formerly of Fort Frances, ON, passed away on December 19, 2009 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Laura was born on May 17, 1918 in Stockholm, Saskatchewan, the youngest daughter in a family of ten children. Sheattended local schools and worked in a munitions plant during the war while her husband was overseas and later when widowed, as a clerk at Super Thrifty Drugs for over 10 years. Laura enjoyed volunteering and assisting seniors, knitting, crossword puzzles and card games. She was predeceased by her husband William George Gratton, her parents Isak Wilhelm Isackson and Laura Marie Leksi, three brothers and six sisters. Laura is survived by her son William Kenneth Gratton of Toronto, his wife Mary Louise, her daughter Sandra MacIsaac and husband Colonel Lawrence MacIsaac, as well as two granddaughters, Katherine Elizabeth Gratton and Ainsley Joy MacIsaac. Interment will be in Fort Frances, Ontario.
