DOWNEY: Mabel Elizabeth (Bessie) Downey, 1918 -2010. It is with great sadness the family of Bessie Downey announce her passing at the Melita Personal Care Home on Saturday, February 6, 2010 with her family by her side. Bessie is survived by her children: Ray (Myrna), Jim (Linda), Betty (Stuart) Miller, and Marina (Herb) Dell and their families. A service to celebrate Bessie's life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Melita & Area Health Committee c/o Town of Melita Box G/D Melita, Manitoba, R0M 1L0 or to the charity of your choice.
