DOTY: Art Doty, born July 31, 1936 in Westbourne, Manitoba; passed away after a short battle with cancer on March 25, 2010 in Brandon, Manitoba. Predeceased by parents David and Charlotte Doty; siblings William Johnson, Pauline Westgate (nee Doty) and Robert Doty. Left to cherish his memory are loving wife Heather; sisters Stella, Helen, Vernice, and Enid; children Allan (Andrea), Denise, Glen (Jodi), Brandon (Amanda), Carrie (Richard); grandchildren Coel, Jake (Erin), Erica, Greg, Allana, Rebecca, Dylan, Madison, Bryson, and great-granddaughter Charlotte. Art enjoyed being a tradesman, and worked in various aspects culminating with his position as a boiler inspector with the Manitoba Dept. of Labour. He derived happiness in life through learning new things, loving his family, and enjoying God's creation with Heather by his side. A celebration of Art's life will be held at a later date.
