MacDONALD: Murdo Kevin MacDonald, of Dunrea died peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre on May 12, 2010 following a brief illness. Kevin was predeceased by his parents John and Mary, twin brother Brian and his sister Isabelle in infancy. Kevin was born April 3, 1934, raised and farmed on the home farm 9 -5- 17 R.M. of Riverside affectionately known as Section 9. He was an adjuster for Manitoba Crop Insurance. Kevin loved the farming life and that way of life. He made daily drives out to the farm just to check in . Kevin always enjoyed meeting and visiting people old friends and new acquaintances. He will probably be remembered by any one who knew him as the one "ready to go" leaving just a little before anyone else. Kevin was a private man always putting family first enjoying the accomplishments of his kids and especially watching his grandchildren grow up. To his family Kevin was " the best of the best", husband, dad and granpda, He is survived by his loving wife Connie of 51 years of Dunrea, Daughter Cathy (Dwayne)Fluker, their daughters Katie and Courtney all of Brandon. Son Sandy (Michelle) of Dunrea, their family Stephanie of Brandon, Dallas and Morgan of Dunrea. Daughter Judy (Blair) Foote of Killarney, their family Lindsay (Mark) Morissette of Lampman, Saskatchewan, Candis of Edmonton, Alberta. Bryan, and Brent of Winnipeg. Kevin's Brothers Angus, Mac and Don MacDonald. Sister inlaw Joyce MacDonald. A special Aunt Joe Hardy and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. In respect of family wishes, a private family service will be held on Saturday May 15, 2010 at the Rea Cemetery, Dunrea, Manitoba. His family asks everyone to remember a special moment you shared with Kevin as your personal farewell. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of own choice.
