She also leaves her brother Bill Heyns (Coby) and three sisters, Annie Van Dyke, Dikkie Klaver (Case) and Betty Pijl (John) as well as many nieces and nephews. Agnes was born in the Netherlands, July 15, 1935 and came to Canada with her family in 1952. She went on to work in Brandon where she met Garry. They married, bought a farm and worked side by side on the farm until they retired. Before they retired as well as after, they shared a love of travel. Dad has many fond memories of the trips they took together but their trip to Australia and New Zealand was a highlight. They also enjoyed many camping trips with their friends as well as flying around the country in Dad's plane. Mom was especially close to her family in spite of the fact most of them lived in Ontario. There was many a drive out east for Christmases or weddings. When Mom wasn't busy helping on the farm she loved flowers and could coax the most amazing blooms out of any plant. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. Mom was a quiet, gentle, loving woman who will be sadly missed by all that knew her. We love you Mom.In honouring Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Reformed Church, 1509 Victoria Avenue, Brandon at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Expressions of sympathy may be made atwww.memorieschapel.com.
