BAKER: Passed away at her home in Cypress River, Manitoba on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the age of 93 years, Violet Mary Baker (nee Black). Violet leaves to mourn her passing, son Jim (Jean) Baker of Benito, Manitoba, daughter Jeanette Baker of Cypress River, Manitoba and son -in-law Bob Olson of Gladstone, Manitoba, ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Violet is also survived by her sisters Sarah McLarty of Brandon, Manitoba, Etta Tutthill of Elkhorn, Manitoba and by a brother Ernest (Verna) Black of Dauphin, Manitoba, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Violet was predeceased by her husband Llewellyn, daughter Linda Olson, grandson Brian Keller and by brothers Elmer and John Black. Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date. Friends that so desire, memorial donations can be made in Violet’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 727-B-10th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 4G7 or to a charity of one’s choice.
