BULL: Dorothy Mary Louise "MaryLou" Bull passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the Assiniboine Centre on May 5, 2010 at the age of 69. MaryLou was born to Richard and Jessie Creber of Strathclair, Manitoba on October 28, 1940. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Bill Creber. MaryLou married Ken "Jim" Bull in 1962. They moved to Rapid City, Manitoba in 1964, where they farmed and raised their family. Over the years, MaryLou worked as a telephone operator, a cashier at the Peavey Mart store in Brandon and a home care worker. She especially enjoyed working on the farm with the animals and took great pride in her garden. She had severalinterests, including music, knitting and crocheting, cooking, baking and canning and country living in general. MaryLou was known for hosting many marvellous meals for family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband Ken of 47 years; son Rob (Val) and grandchildren, Rick, Lisa and Erin of Killarney, Manitoba; daughter Laurel (Charlie) Clark and grandson Mike (Cheryl) and great grandchildren Colin and Emily, all of Brandon, MB; and daughter Lorna (Brian) Kacsmar and grandchildren Bailey and Justin of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. She also leaves to mourn her brother Jim Creber, sister Daisy Robertson, Bull brothers-in-law Howard, Larry (Jean), Don (Marg) and Bob (Marg), sister-in-law (Earl) Pearl and several nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service was held at the Rapid City Cemetery on May 11, 2010, officiated by Reverend Elwood Fawcett. The pallbearers were the six grandchildren. A ceremony to celebrate MaryLou's life followed at Memories Chapel in Brandon. The family extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Butler and his staff of the Brandon Clinic; Dr. du Plooy, the nurses and staff at the Cancer Program in Brandon; and the many nurses and aides on A3 at the Assiniboine Centre. Thank you also to family and friends for their support, cards, flowers and generous gifts of food received. In memory of MaryLou, donations may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation for CancerCare Project at 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
