BRERETON: Eloise. Our beloved wife, mom, nanny and great grandma is now at peace. She passed away at the Assiniboine Centre, Palliative Care on Friday, June 11, 2010 with daughter Janice at her side. Eloise was born on May 6, 1925 in Deloraine, Manitoba to Roland and Gladys Chapin. She was the eldest of four children and grew up in Brandon. It was at the tender age of thirteen that she met George Brereton, the love of her life. George and Eloise were married on June 21, 1946. Mom was a telephone operator and alsoworked in retail throughout her life including Eatons, Burgess Solo Store and was the first female employee at the Brandon Liquor Mart. Mom and Dad retired and spent many happy years at Clear Lake in the summer and winters in Texas. Always a great homemaker and wonderful cook, Mom enjoyed pampering her family with her Sunday suppers (plus many in between) and she was alwaysimmaculate in appearance even after slaving in the kitchen all day - never a hair out of place and usually wearing her favorite color of pink in her attire. Eloise is survived by: her loving husband George of sixty four years; daughter, Janice Bradley, son-in-law Walter (Butch) Bradley; grandson Scott Bradley (Chrissy Findlay) and great grandson Sawyer Orlando George Bradley. She is also survived by; a sister Doreen Reid (Roy) of Moose Jaw, sister-in-law Helen Brereton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Roland and Gladys Chapin, sister Marj Lindley, brother Delmar Chapin and brother-in-law Jim Brereton.
