HEPPNER: Duane Arthur Heppner. Peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Duane Heppner passed away, with family by his side, in Health Sciences, Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 54 years. Duane was predeceased by his father Art Heppner. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Kathleen Heppner of Brandon, Manitoba; sisters Joanne (John Townsend) Heppner of Whistler, B.C., Cheryl Heppner of Brandon, Manitoba and Myrna Heppner of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Visitation will take place at McKenzies United Church, 85 – 11 Street N.W., Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Duane’s Life will be held at The Aspen Centre, 840-3rd Street N.E., MDC, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. led by Chaplain Ron Siemens. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Duane’s memory to MDC’s Sandy Haven Camp – c/o Lake Manitoba Camp Legacy Inc., P.O. Box 1532, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, R1N 3P5.
