HERNDON: Leslee Lynn – December 25, 1969 – July 28, 2010. It is with great sorrow that Leslee’s family announces her sudden and tragic passing on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. It is said our children are a loan from God and He allowed us to have our beautiful Leslee for forty short years. Leslee was a shining light right from the time she was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario to the time of her passing. Leslee received her education in Rivers, Manitoba. She then went on to take the Nurse’s Aide course at Assiniboine Community College and was employed at the Fairview Nursing Home in Brandon, Manitoba for 13 years. She then decided to make a career change and took the Pharmacy Technician program through the Robertson College in Brandon, Manitoba. After graduation she was successfully employed as a technician with the Moosomin Hospital and remained as such until her passing. As a young girl Leslee was active in the Rivers and District Figure Skating Club as well as the Happy Hooves 4-H club. She enjoyed skating but it was the 4-H club where she really enjoyed spending her time and it was there that her life-long passion for horses began.  She and her sister Renee spent many happy hours at Art Hiebert's Milk and Honey Farm riding and just being with the horses in the barn or in the pastures. This passion was so strong that it carried though to her adult life. Her horses “Ace” and “Jude” were her pride and joy. Leslee had also been an avid volunteer at the Brandon Humane Society. Her enthusiasm for life and animals could only be described as incredible. Leslee was a beautiful, strong woman whose soul was filled only with love for life, her friends, her family and especially her son Brendan. Many, many times Leslee expressed her joy and love of being a mother and could not imagine doing anything different. Everyone she met and knew soon came to realize what an outgoing and happy person she was. She touched so many lives in so many ways. Leslee was predeceased by her grandparents John and Emma Miller; Victor and Theresa Herndon; her cousins Paul and Todd Snelgrove. Leslee is going to be greatly missed by her son Brendan and fiancé Frank Bedecs (& family); her parents Terry and Sharon Herndon (nee Miller); sister Renee Martin (Rick), and nephews Aaron and Kyle; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services are planned for Friday, August 6th at 2:00 p.m. (Manitoba time) at the Rivers United Church, Rivers, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200– 17th Street East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 7M6 or Virden Pet Network, Box 925, Virden, Manitoba, R0M 2C0.
