JORDENS: Margaret. With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Margaret Ethel Jordens of Rivers, Man. She passed away on October 5, 2010 at Brandon Regional Hospital two days after celebrating her 75th birthday. She is survived by John, her loving husband of 52 years. She also leaves to cherish her memory daughters Debbie and Phyllis and grand-daughters Kylie and Kim. Also surviving is her sister Marion (Toots) Wylie of Portage and brother-in-law Jack Ewasiuk of Moosomin, John's siblings Innis (Gerry), Diane (Ferd), Tom (Aleida), Pat (Lorne), Louise (John), Richard (Kathy), Sheila, Aunt Margaret Skinner and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John's parents, beloved son David in 1971, special son-in-law Dave in 2009, sister Audrey, brothers Gerry, Jack, Garth and Dwayne, brothers-in-law Arnold and Billy, niece Linda and nephew Kenny. Margaret was born on October 3, 1935 in the Bethany District to Joe and Elsie Little. She grew up and went to school there and in 1952 the family moved to farm in the Amaranth district. Margaret came to Rivers in 1956 to help her sister Audrey with her young family. Across the road a young man from Saskatchewan was living with his aunt and uncle and working different jobs in the area. They met and were married in 1958 and have called Rivers home ever since. She was a busy, loving mom helping John with his plumbing business for over 40 years. For fun she enjoyed curling, bonspieling, golfing, camping, fishing, her garden and flowers and all of nature's little creatures. Due to the busy business, they didn't get away too much but did enjoy a few fun trips to the Briers and Las Vegas. After retirement they finally got to enjoy a couple of hot holidays with good friends and a great family trip to Disney World. Marg and John have a multitude of treasured friends and neighbours that come from living in a great community for so long. She was a kind, caring person who will be missed by so many."REST PEACEFULLY MOM"A ceremony to celebrate her life is being held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rivers United Church with Rev. Glenna Beauchamp officiating. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Rivers and Area Community Foundation, Box 714, Rivers, Manitoba, R0K 1X0.
