HARRIS: The death of Margaret Joy Harris of Brandon and formerly of Winnipeg occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Margaret was born, raised and received her education in Melville, Saskatchewan, where she and her twin sister, Barbara, were always together. Marg was a kind and caring person. She moved from Melville to Winnipeg in 1952 and began her career with the Bank of Montreal, where she was employed for almost 50 years. Marg was a member of All Saints Church in Winnipeg and she participated in Business Girls and Altar Guild. She also supported the Thelma Wynne group which assisted new mothers in need. Gardening, knitting and traveling were some of Marg's favorite pastimes and she was an avid fan of the Winnipeg Goldeyes. During her high school years she won provincial awards for tennis. Margaret is survived by her brother-in-law Pat Golding, sister-in-law Loraine Harris, nieces and nephews: Joan Golding, Patrick Golding (Bonnie Barron), Leanne Guest (Clayton), Tammy Golding, Rodney (Amy) Harris, Jean Harris (Jack Campbell), Lorne Harris, Sandra Harris (Steve Knox) and Donna Harris (Don Runge) as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Marjorie Harris, twin sister, Barbara Golding and brother Kenneth Harris. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew's Cathedral, 403 - 13th Street on Tuesday, October 19 2010 at 1:00 p.m. The RightReverend James Njegovan and The Very Reverend Robin Walker will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Urn bearer will be Clayton Guest. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Margaret to Diocese of Brandon (Anglican Church), Box 21009, West End Post Office, Brandon, Manitoba, R7B 3W8 or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Unit 4B, 457 -9th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 1K2.
