HALUK: Michael Haluk passed away on October 22, 2010 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care, at the age of 78 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Margaret; his daughter Wendy, son-in-law Kevin, and his grandchildren Natalie and Tyler; his brother Henry (Eleanor), sister-in-law Anne, brother and sister-in-law Neil and Audrey, and Auntie Kay; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Mary (Mudry) and Peter Haluk, brothers Leonard and John, and sister-in-law Aline. Mike was born in Rama, Saskatchewan and left the farm to join the Canadian Forces at age 19. He convinced Margaret to join him on his lifes adventure where they traveled across Canada and overseas. He retired from Public Service just short of 50 years, and spent many retirement hours puttering in his garden, bird watching and watching sports. Many thanks to Drs. Edward, Dhalla and Mohamed, nurses and aides in the Palliative Care, Assiniboine Centre for their wonderful care during Mikes stay and to the Homecare Program. A Celebration of Mikes life was held October 28, 2010 at the Brockie Donovan Chapel with Arlene Robertson officiating.
