McCRAE: Olive Myrtle Marguerita (nee Nicholson), of Brandon formerly of Dauphin, passed away December 10, 2010 at Valleyview Care Home at the age of 93. Olive was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. She received her education in Dauphin. Olive came to know the Lord as her personal Saviour at an early age. Growing up she attended Sunday School, Youth Groups and Church faithfully. Olive's faith and strong determination stood her in good stead through many trials. She was a caregiver for her dear husband, Max for over 65 years. In 1970 Max and Olive moved to Brandon, as Max was transferred to Shilo. Olive enjoyed spending time with friends, family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and seldom missed a curling game on TV. Max and Olive spent many summers at their cabin at Clear Lake. Olive was a charter member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, and a member of the Dauphin Pioneers Association. Olive is survived by son Jack (Arnette), grandchildren Brady (Lisa), great-grandchildren Rebekah, Emily, Tanner, Ethan of Winnipeg, granddaughter Kim; son Allan (Charlotte) of Brandon, grandchildren Kyle (Susan), great grandson Logan of Winnipeg, Kristie (Perry) Hutton, great grandchildren Paige, Parker of Lethbridge, Kelly (Heather) of Winnipeg; brother and sister in law Lewis (Nora) Nicholson of Dauphin, sister in law Joy (Bill) De'Ath of Neepawa, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband Max McCrae, November 7, 2008, parents Hepworth and Pearl Nicholson, brother and sister-in-law Alton and Gwen Nicholson, niece Fran Nicholson. Also predeceased are sisterand brother-in-law Jim and Birda Crowe, sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Ron Hyde, niece Marlene Hyde, nephews Bill Crowe, Don Hyde, and Dean Crowe. Funeral service was held at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, December 15, 2010 with Pastor Josh Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery. Active Pallbearers were grandsons Kyle, Kelly, Brady McCrae, Perry Hutton, nephews Dale De'Ath and Owen Nicholson.
