BENN-WOLFE: Peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 Delaney Benn-Wolfe of Birdtail Sioux First Nation passed away at the Hamiota Health Centre at the age of 36 years, with his mother by his side. Delaney was predeceased by his father Earl Wolfe, brothers Marshall and Clifton, sister Jeannette and a sister in infancy. Surviving are his mother Lillian Benn, brothers: Elvan (Donna), Carl (Mary Ann), Faron, sisters: Violet Merrik (Roger), Verna Warner (Len), Alice Flett (Hubert), Rose McAskie, Priscilla Benn (Terry), Teenah Wolfe (Norman) and numerous nieces and nephews. A traditional wake will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. from the Can Kaga Otina School, Birdtail Sioux First Nation. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Can Kaga Otina School with Rev. Deacon Conrad Plante officiating. Interment at Can Kaga Otina Cemetery with a traditional feast to follow. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
