DEREWIANCHUK: Sara Marie, April 7, 1928 January 31, 2011. With sadness, the daughters of Sara Derewianchuk announce the peaceful passing of our Mother at the Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon. Sara was born and raised in Lowe Farm, Manitoba. In September 1946 she married our Father, Walter. His work with the Canadian National Railways took the family to Decker, Lowe Farm, Levine, Glenella, Emerson, Thompson, and Brandon as well as a variety of small towns for short time periods. In 1987 Sara and Walter retired to Morris, Manitoba. Sara returned to Brandon in June 2006. October 2010 brought a move to Rideau Park. Sara will be lovingly remembered by her girls and their husbands: Joanne and Arnold Hildebrand, Brandon, Connie and Rob Holland, Brandon, and Jacqueline Derewianchuk and Mark Shurek, Stonewall, her young adult grandchildren: Deanna (Nathan) Picklyk, Liesel (Robert) Krahn, Kristina (Callum) Campbell, Sarah (Kenneth) Pinsent, Darren (Sarah) Holland, Benjamin Careme, Kimberley Holland, Joshua Careme, Anna Careme, and special grandsons Bill (Tracy) Haycock and Angus (Tara) MacInnis, and great grandchildren: Samuel, Simon and Sarah Krahn, Emerson Picklyk, Elizabeth and Julia Holland, Lilah and Josie Pinsent, Luke, Cody and Patrick MacInnis. Sara is also survived by her siblings Eleanor (Rudolf) Schlick, Ian (Connie) Hyde, Frank (Mavis) Hyde all of Winnipeg and Jack (Hazel) Hyde of The Pas, and many nieces and nephews. Sara was predeceased by her husband Walter in September 1995, her parents Nicolai and Anna Heide, three brothers and two sisters. Respecting Moms wishes, cremation has taken place. A Family Farewell will be held at Grace Mennonite Church on February 5, 2011.
