MORROW: Mabel I. Morrow (nee Fletcher). 15 December 1929 - 1 February 2011. Mabel passed away early on February 1, 2011 at Heritage Lodge in Winnipeg. She was 81 years of age. She is survived by her son Robert (Sandra) and daughter Laura (Dave) and grandchildren, Julian, Anton, Brendan, Liam and Katie. Mabel was the ninth and youngest child of John Alexander Fletcher and Laura Gallaugher of Regina, Sask. She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings. She was raised on a farm near Govan, Sask. She was the first in her family to finish high school and complete business college. Mabel and her husband Jack lived for many years in Virden and Brandon before moving to Winnipeg in 1983. Mabel loved to be active and especially enjoyed travelling, curling, bridge and for many years was a golfing fanatic. Alzheimer's disease robbed her of these pleasures as it robbed her family and friends of her lively and bubbly personality. She will be remembered for her love of life, sense of fun and generous spirit. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
