CHAMBERS: Theresa (Tessie) Chambers (Munro) was born November 7, 1910 at her parents home in the Primrose District north west of Boissevain. She passed away on January 30, 2011 at Evergreen Personal Care Home in Boissevain. She was predeceased by siblings, Hector, Norman, Clifford, Marion Facey, Lillian Mennie, Sam, and Jean Adams and parents Neil and Mary Ann Munro, and son-in-law Calvin Latimer. She married Ralph Chambers in 1930. They farmed in the Richview district south west of Boissevain until 1946 when they moved to the Dunallen district north west of Boissevain, until they retired to Brandon in 1967. They farmed with horses until 1944 when a Farmall “H” was purchased. Electricity came to the district in 1950. The winter of 1953-54 they toured Ontario and the eastern and southern States in their 1950 Plymouth. She was involved with the Royal-Dunallen Good Neighbors Group, the Women’s Institute, and later on the Photography Club in Brandon. She moved into Lion’s Manor in 1994 after Ralph’s passing in 1991. While there she enjoyed bridge, 500, whist and at 85 years learned to play shuffleboard. She moved to Westview Lodge in Boissevain in December 2005 and then finally to Evergreen Place in July 2009. Theresa is survived by daughter Dorothy Latimer and her children Maxine (Paul) Clifton and Kevin (Colleen) and son Bert (Anne) Chambers and children Curtis (Angie), Jason (Beckie), Pamela (Rob Green), Teresa (Scott) Myers, and mother of children Mary Chambers, also sister-in-law Sadie Munro. Great grandchildren Megan (Larry) Willerton, Duane Latimer (Anna Workman), James (Lauree) Latimer. Tyson Chambers, Kerry and Dylan Myers. Jayden and Mason Green, Aelan Chambers. Great-great-grandchildren Ruby and Finn Willerton. Pallbearers were nephews Samford Munro, Murray Munro, Roy Adams, Larry Mennie, great-grandsons Duane and James Latimer. A celebration of life was held at Brockie Donovan Funeral Home, on February 4, 2011 with Lawrence McInnes officiating. Interment at the Boissevain Cemetery.
